Summer 2012 A new family of skunks comes to my backyard. The mother (the larger one of them all) has brought them here to feed on sunflower seeds. They were born late June on a farm property down the hill from the backyard. The sunflower seeds are for the wild birds, but the mother skunk found about this while foraging and decided to bring her kits now that they are big enough to start taking care of themselves. The first clip is the mother early in July and the second/third clip is mid-late August. NOTE: Skunks usually don't spray unless they are severely threatened and decide they have no other option.
