This is an old favorite of mine for a long time. It has been credited to the Carter Family, but it is much much older than that. Here I am playing the dulcimer for it. It is a super weird tuning. bbF#B. I don't know if there is such a tuning but there is now I couldn't sing it in ddAD tuning as it is much too high, as is this tuning but my strings wouldn't allow me to tune any lower. I guess the lyrics are supposed to be a woman singing, but I didn't happen to have one with me so here it is any way. I hope it doesn't ruin the song for you.
