SpicyWaffle takes a first look at Double Dragon Neon in Part #1 of a new Let's Play series. Expect crazy 80s beat 'em up co-op action in this 1080p 60fps first impressions video!

Double Dragon has all the element necessary to declare it a definitive side-scrolling beat 'em up experience. Good variety of kicking, punching and special moves, with which to beat up hordes of enemies? Check. Melee weapons like baseball bats and whips? Yup. Destructible object in the environment, such as mailboxes, street signs, and random detritus? Of course-- and they all contain useful power-ups and/or money, which flies out when you break them. And none of this description really even begins to convey the overall sense of late-80s-early-90s atmosphere contained within this game. You'll just have to watch and see the mullets and the celebratory air-guitar riffs. Let's play!

This is the coolguy modern revival of the gaming classic Double Dragon. Expect supermurder, ultraviolence, but sadly little-to-no blood dancing. Because this game doesn't leave pools of blood on the ground :( Also, retro beat 'em up gameplay woo!
