Σκλαβιά: έννοια γνωστή από την αρχαιότητα. 
Λέγεται ότι σκλαβιά δεν υπάρχει σήμερα, και ότι η δουλεία έχει καταργηθεί. Κι όμως, σήμερα στον πλανήτη μας, έχουμε περισσότερους σκλάβους από όσους είχαμε ποτέ στην ανθρωπότητα. Απλά είναι με διαφορετική μορφή.
Το εμπόριο λευκής σαρκός καθιστά εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους στον κόσμο θύματα σύγχρονης σκλαβιάς. 
Τα θύματα του trafficking είναι κι αυτά εγκλωβισμένα σε ένα δαιδαλώδες δίκτυο, περιμένοντας τον Μίτο που θα τους υποδείξει την έξοδο. Μήπως μπορούμε εμείς να βοηθήσουμε να γκρεμιστούν οι τοίχοι που τους περιορίζουν;

Η Μαρίνα Ντονοπούλου είναι εκπρόσωπος της Μη Κερδοσκοπικής Οργάνωσης Α21 και παλεύει κι αυτή ενάντια στο εμπόριο γυναικών. Έχοντας εκπαιδευτεί ως ειδική χειρίστρια κλήσεων της 24ωρης γραμμής κρίσης 1109 και δουλεύοντας ως Συντονίστρια στον Ξενώνα κρίσης, δεν άργησε να βρεθεί στη θέση της Εθνικής Εκπρόσωπου της Α21 στην Ελλάδα. 

Στο κοινό του TEDxChania διηγείται την ιστορία μιας κοπέλας που κατάφερε να ξεφύγει και να ξεκινήσει μια νέα ζωή. Με αυτό το παράδειγμα μας εξηγεί ότι θύματα του trafficking μπορεί να υπάρχουν και γύρω μας και  πώς όλοι εμείς μπορούμε δράσουμε και να γίνουμε ο Μίτος που θα τα οδηγήσει στην ελευθερία

Slavery: a concept known from antiquity.

It is said that slavery does not exist today, and that slavery is abolished. Yet, today on our planet we have more slaves than we have ever had in humanity. It's just different.

Trafficking makes millions of people in the world victims of modern slavery. The victims of trafficking are also trapped on a labyrinthine network, waiting for a yarn, Mitos, to show them the exit. Can we help to break down the walls that restrict them?

Marina Ntonopoulou is representative of the A21 Non-Profit Organization and also fights against women's trafficking. Having been trained as a special call handler for the 24-hour line 1109 and working as a Coordinator at the Crisis Hostel, she was soon in the position of the A21 Representative in Greece.


On TEDxChania stage, she tells the story of a girl who managed to escape and start a new life. With this example, she explains that victims of trafficking may exist around us and that we all can act and become the yarn, the “MiTOS”, to lead them to freedom.
