Here we are on the Conrail River Line Subdivision at the entrance to the NYC Yard in Newburgh, where we see CSX Train C712, the local freight out of Kingston Yard. C712 will head into the yard and drop off a pair of cars. Once it enters the yard, we wait a minute or two so we can see CSX Train Q433 for a second time. They had been given an approach limited for some reason, even though there was nothing coming north for them to meet, and they weren't going into the passing siding. Halfway through the train, C712 heads back south and blows for the crossing. Having some really good luck, there happened to be a flat car coming by just as the engine was passing me, so I panned with the car and caught the engine going over the grade crossing again. Q433 still consists of GEVO ES44AC's 884 and 943 with 131 cars, while C712 consists of GP38-2 2771 facing long hood forward and 3 gondola cars (only one, after dropping in the NYC yard). In the far background of the video is the overpass which carries the Newburgh Industrial track down to track level. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on April 16th, 2009.
