GM Slashes More Jobs, Plants

The head of General Motors says the Detroit automaker will eliminate some brands, slash thousands of jobs and shut down more factories so it can remain financially viable. The struggling car manufacturer made the announcement Monday, ahead of a June first deadline to submit a restructuring plan to the government. As Mil Arcega reports, the automaker hopes its latest plan can help stave off bankruptcy.
