United Nations, 10 March 2009 - The Special Coordinator of the Secretary-General for Lebanon, Mr Michael C. Williams presented during Consultations of the Security Council the ninth report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1701 (2006). Recent firing incidents have posed the most serious challenge since the adoption of a resolution which helped end the war between Israel and Hizbollah in the summer of 2006, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in the new report.
