Opposite Extremities is a project with the intention of paying tribute to early 90’s technical death metal. This idea was sparked through my early listening of various hit albums including Human by Death, Effigy of the Forgotten by Suffocation, Tomb of Mutilated by Cannibal Corpse and Spheres by Pestilence just to mention a few. It is my personal opinion that these artists have left a permanent mark on the aesthetical values in music. As well as planting a personal desire to follow in their footsteps, ‘the true metal heroes’ and contribute to this movement.

Marcel Senesi, Australia / Slovakia, started the writing process in June of 2016 by laying down demo tracks for the album with the intention of encapsulating the heritage of brutal technical death metal. During that writing process, 7 tracks were produced and were packaged into an album named ‘Chapter’. With each track capturing and representing different and distinctive aspects of technical brutal death metal.

Lasse Lund, Denmark joined the project Opposite Extremities in November of 2016 as a vocalist with no restriction to musical expression. His vocals encapsulates the most brutal voice orchestra in modern times with intensity only matched by several revving v8 engines.
