Throughout our basic schooling, we learn the history of everything from our country to the human race as a whole. As she compares history to the way we understand it, Smruthi Maganti shows us that rather than simplifying history into a story, we must deepen our understanding in order to make better decisions and prevent the past from repeating itself. 

Smruthi Maganti loves watching documentaries, movies, and television in addition to reading everything. Literally, everything. In the future, she plans to study ecology and evolution. Attending Case Western Reserve University in the fall, she believes that it is our choices that make us who we are, not our abilities.
