The Toy Crane Project was the idea of Kason and Koleson Wright, ages 9 and 6. After one particularly successful trip to the Toy Crane machine at their local Walmart, the boys suggested that some of the children in Oklahoma might have lost their toy crane prizes or other stuffed animals in the recent tornados.

Driving home that night they asked, "Dad, what if we sent all our toy crane prizes to the kids in Oklahoma who lost their stuffed animals in the tornado?"
