donate.undp.org UNDP Goodwill Ambassador and Brazilian soccer star Marta, makes a plea to the public to assist the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. More than 5,000 people lost their lives to one of the most devastating storms on record. More than 4 million people lost their homes and over 13 million people are affected by the disaster. Typhoon Haiyan has demolished homes, ruined lives, destroyed businesses and taken away jobs. For many people, it will increase vulnerability to poverty, unless we act now. By making a contribution to UNDP, you can help survivors rebuild their lives, and help the Philippines on a path to recovery
