The distinctive 'Chocolate House' in Kyiv is one of Ukraine's architectural marvels. So named for its resemblance to a bar of chocolate, the elegant mansion has captured the imagination of visitors for 117 years. 
At the time it was built, the Chocolate House was one of the costliest constructions in all of Kyiv. And it has survived, almost untouched, into the modern day.
