1940s training film for Royal Air Force (RAF) medical orderlies. Woman orderly caring for patients on board a Dakota medical transport aeroplane. 

Aerial shot of another Dakota aircraft flying close, there are green fields below. Interior of second Dakota, rows of webbing bunks and WRAF orderly attending the casualties. She speaks to a severely burned man with a bandaged face. She moves to the front of the plane to make up a 'Saline solution'. The corporal WRAF orderly chats to patients, she gives them a cigarette. She is called over by a patient behind. She fetches and gives him a urine bottle. 

Back on the original Dakota, close up of chest wound man, he looks into the middle distance. Orderly gets up and gets out the 'Oxygen Outfit' , sets it up and fits the mask to the face of the same man. Close up of same man staring into space. Orderly checks leg of leg injury man. Aerial view of second Dakota, has letters AF on the side. WRAF orderly is attending bandaged face man when one man becomes anxious and starts struggling. The WRAF orderly gets another strap and with the help of a walking wounded restrains him. Aerial shot of Dakota banking away. 

A row of ambulances is on the tarmac of an airfield, orderlies stand around chatting. On the plane orderly tucks patients blankets in , collects mugs. Shot of Dakota landing as seen from the Dakota. Shot of Dakota taxiing, being directed by ground crew and coming to a halt. Open backs of two ambulance, one large the other smaller, they are empty. One of the large ambulances backs up to the doors of the Dakota with YS on its side. The doorway is cleared once the doors are opened. The walking wounded get out and move to the waiting ambulances with the help of a nurse in a black uniform. A stretcher is taken from the plane and placed in an ambulance, what looks like a Women's Royal Army Corps (WRAC) is standing in the back of the ambulance. More patients are taken out of the Dakota and loaded into ambulances.
