Cody and Ethan have been bugging me for ages about making a proper Star Wars film with them in. So one afternoon we went into the woods and made this in about 90 minutes, all made up on the spot. We worked out the story on the way there and Cody and Ethan worked out their moves as we went along. Then it all went into the computer and about 30 hours was spent animating the lightsabers and adding the FX. We made the mistake of not hiding the 'unlit' sabers and so I had to rub them all out which wasn't great. Soooooooo much time! So we edited picture and sound in FCPX and then went into After Effects for the lightsabres and sparks etc, Back into Final Cut for the titles and finished grade and then out. Great fun, hope you enjoy watching as much as we did making it!
