The Minnesota Senate refuses to consider a proposal that would require more disclosure from and about groups such as the American Legislative Exchange Council, which offers "model legislation" that is often turned into bills. A procedural motion that prevented a vote on the proposal went along party lines with Republicans effectively voting against the anti-ALEC bill and Democrats effectively voting for it.
