If you want to replace your CV boot only these kits run around $15.00 and can be installed with a minimum of basic hand tools. Its a messy job, but totally doable. In contrast if you want to pay me to do it at a shop, expect to pay from $250 to $450 for an axle with install. After a little quick math is becomes clear that a messy day in your driveway sure beats shelling out that much $$!
