In 2018, I worked on an amazing project for the Eden Rivers Trust with three primary schools in the Eden Valley.  The Litter Monster project looked at the effect of litter, specifically single-use plastic, and the devastating effect it is having on the environment.

Working with Ro from Wood Matters and Josh from RagTag Arts, the children developed litter monsters from plastics that they had collected on their litter picks, learned about litter and where is comes from and then contributed to the production of a humongous, 5 metre tall monster!  We then set up a film studio and the children took on the roles of camera operator, sound operator, interviewer and interviewee to produce some amazing little films, where they talked about how they felt about the litter crisis.  This was a brilliant project - every child in the world should probably do it.  It could be them that end up having to sort out this big mess, after all.
