Riley Battin Class of 2018
The Hoop Scoop - Clark Francis
"Really impressed with the blue collar work ethic and the knack for being able to find a way to score that we consistently saw out of 6'6 8th grader Riley Battin from Westlake Village, CA. Not only does he have good post moves and a great nose for the ball, which he uses to get more than his share of offensive rebounds, but he also has good enough ball handling and passing skills and the outside shooting necessary to play some out on the perimeter. He's projected to grow another two or three inches and, as a result, will likely end up being a 6'8 or 6'9 high major power forward down the road."

Jr.Future150 - Nigel Carter
"Riley Battin continues to prove he is one of the best."

Earl Watson Elite -Marquis Washington
"Riley displayed the whole arsenal...Shot the 3, put it on the floor, hit the mid-range, finished inside and boarded."

Mid Major Hoops Report
"2018 Riley Battin continues to impress with his overall skill set. Versatile player, big kid, outside shot is good, puts it on the deck, passes with European game. "

West Coast Elite Basketball
"Battin was a matchup nightmare the entire weekend, largely as a result of his unique combination of size, skill and mobility. He would punish smaller defenders in the paint or take bigger defenders to the mid-post areas where he knocked down jump shots or used his handle and quickness to get to the basket. He was able to alter or block a number of shots because of his willingness to contest shots. He has superior skill and a nonstop motor."

Full Time Hoops
"Riley Battin is a very polished face-up big". "He was rock solid in the paint and beyond. Well-deserved MVP."
