Roads Could Make for Hazardous Morning Commute

MIAMI VALLEY -- Snow from Sunday night's storm will affect the Tuesday morning commute. The Monday morning commute was messy, as ODOT, county, and city plows and salt trucks worked to clear snow up to four inches deep in some parts of the Miami Valley. So far during the winter months of late 2014 and early 2015 through January 21st, ODOT spokesperson Mandi Dillon said District 7 had used 21,599 tons of salt at a direct cost of $1,411,869. Drivers said it was worth the supply to make sure highways and main roads were cleared up by Monday afternoon.
