More than 3,000 people have been evacuated in southwest China's Yunnan Province after a landslide dammed a waterway, creating a dangerous barrier lake. The dammed lake poses a serious risk of flooding to communities downstream, prompting residents to flee for higher ground. Authorities say the water rose three meters in just seven hours, but that levels have since stabilized.
