The CEO of Applause Entertainment, Mr. Sameer Nair, talks about how the future of entertainment will be built around providing immersive experiences to consumers. A media and entertainment industry veteran, Sameer Nair's illustrious career spans across 3 decades with him holding key positions at leading media houses. Among varied highlights in his career span was the network revamp at Star TV and the launch of Amitabh Bachchan & KBC, and the Balaji soap operas on Star Plus. He turned entrepreneur with NDTV Imagine Ltd. Later, he successfully concluded the sale of NDTV Imagine to the Turner Group, to become the CEO of Turner General Entertainment Networks. After this, he went on to join Balaji Telefilms Ltd. as its Group CEO devising an expansive strategy for the company's foray into digital- their first B2C outreach with ALT Balaji. In August 2017, Sameer began a new professional journey to helm Applause Entertainment - Media, Content & IP Creation Studio - promoted by Aditya Birla Group Chairman- Kumar Mangalam Birla.
