A short video of our walk around the Springfield area, including the Hospital Mill level crossing, features of the former Cults Branch Railway, a former gasworks that we mistook for a mill and Crawford Priory. I took a look at all these places on a walk I did last Summer (and I've been to the old railway bridge countless times in my teens) but the area was full of face high nettles once I'd left the paths so I didn't get to fully explore some of the buildings I wanted to back then. Most of the places I go are easier to traverse in the Winter for that reason. The plan is to do a few more videos like this over the course of the year as it felt like a return to the style of video we first tried out with our Glen Lethnot adventure from all the way back in 2010 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdyPhjkzFeQ). Credit also has to be given to Jag and Bro who bring you the excellent Strange Places in Scotland videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/JagBetty) which have provided us with the kick of inspiration we needed to get out and do this stuff again. They recently did a much better video that focuses on Crawford Priory that you can watch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTXNL2sm1-g).
