Hiking in Letchworth the Morning after the Polar Vortex!

It was a beautiful cold morning and the woods were calling my name the next morning after the Polar Vortex blew through our area. It was about 12 - 14 degrees but sunny with deep blue skies. We were spared the heavy Lake Effect snow and only received the bitter cold temps and lots of gusty wind. I had to see if natures fury did any damage to the woods that I like to hang out in so I brought my camera along and shot a couple of scenes I saw along the way! Nothing all that exciting here but I find enjoyment in these simple things. I caught an Eastbound freight heading for the High Bridge as it whined and groaned its way there on the icy cold rails. The small streams that circulate through the forests had a thick coat of ice over them and I spotted this beautiful little waterfall frozen in time. Winter has such an awesome beauty to it, and this is why I live where there are 4 seasons, so I can admire the beauty each season holds!
