NASA has released a video of Sun, in the video we can see a small prominence rising above the sun. The Prominence appeared to twist around for several hours, and then began to send some streams of plasma back into the sun . The video was take on the 4th of January 2018. The action, observed in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light, lasted just about one day. According to NASA, prominence like this one are quite common. In fact, there were several over the past few days. For a sense of scale, the prominence reached up more than several times the size of Earth. A solar prominence (also known as a filament when viewed against the solar disk) is a large, bright feature extending outward from the Sun's surface. Watch this video to find out more.
