Some models you may find will have another bone placed near the Center Bone that is called a "Groove Bone."

While it doesn't seem like it can do much, you'd be surprised that it's actually handy.

The Groove Bone is somewhat similar to the Center Bone, but it has a different function to it.
While the Center Bone is obviously the center bone piece that can move the whole model, the Groove Bone functions as a second set to allow the model to "bounce", "lean", "shake" and "sway" more without disrupting a "stance."

An example can be shown in the video to the silhouettes dancing to あやはち's "Romeo & Cinderella" (male side) that heavily relies on the use of the bone.

The left silhouette is a model that does not carry the Groove Bone while the right silhouette does.
You can immediately notice a striking difference in the use of the motion.

Various other motions nowadays will start requiring the use of a Groove Bone.
(ex. Romantic Night, Mozaik Role -Solo-, Bad End Night)

So it is best advised to start getting use to having these around or you'll have some "stiff" models dancing if you're not careful.
