I finished the first season (parts 1 & 2) of JoJo, and I wanted to mark it by drawing this cool dude.

I'm honestly not too sure if I like how this turned out. I tried some new techniques, such as a more detailed gesture drawing, paying more attention to anatomy (as the JoJo art style does), and paying attention to a reference (I had been trying to avoid using references, but I've come to accept that it's okay and necessary to use them), but it feels like I'm doing something wrong. I can't help but think that I'm shading incorrectly. I didn't use the palette knife from the last Garb Draws due to it creating an unwanted third color between the 2 shades, but the shading method I'm using seems a bit ugly; I'm also not sure if I'm shading the right spots. I think this is an area I really need to look into, or maybe I'm just making a big deal about nothing. Let me know what you think.
