MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - Police in Middletown are issuing a warning about fights with Nerf guns as the weather gets warmer.

They admit the toys are harmless, but players can scare people who live in the area when they wear masks or hide on their property.

Officers say the teens also paint the toy guns black, which makes them look more realistic.

They're telling players to make sure their Nerf guns are brightly colored and to avoid trespassing.
