Snowstorm in Sequim

It started to snow at 6 a.m. and continued until 9:30. During a lull in the snowfall, Diane and I decided to venture out into the winter wonderland to take Shadow for a walk. Soon, the snowfall rate picked up, the flakes driven sideways into our faces by arctic winds from Canada. We could hear several loud cracks and thumps as large fir trees in our community gave way. Our faces numbed from the blizzard, we turned around and headed back home where we could watch this beautiful spectacle from inside our cozy home! We have been told by longtime residents that such snow events are becoming increasingly rare these days in Sequim. But, we won’t tell Shadow
