(21 Dec 2018) STORYLINE: A blaze at a Midtown Manhattan high-rise office building sent employees and customers into the streets Friday morning, as dozens of firefighters responded. The New York Fire Department said Friday morning that no injuries had been reported after flames engulfed the Madison Avenue building a block from Grand Central Terminal. The Fire Department did not identify a cause of the blaze, but WNBC-TV reported that workers evacuated the building after Christmas decorations caught fire in the lobby. Outside, authorities redirected traffic as onlookers posted videos to social media of flames and smoke pouring out of the front of the building near the street level.
