Rinpoche explains why we do Lama Chopa. That the most important is correctly following the virtuous friend, the root of the path to enlightenment. Lama Chopa was written by Panchen Losang Chokyi Gyaltsen who integrated all the 4 schools into Lama Chopa, this is what he and many great lineage lamas practiced and they were enlightened in one brief lifetime of degenerate time. We are so incredibly fortunate to be able to do Lama Chopa, to hear the words, to practice. Lama Chopa has all the vital points. Then if you can integrate your life in the practice of the lamrim. This is the key that opens hundreds of doors of the hundreds of teachings.  If you practice lamrim you are practicing all the teachings of Buddha. This practice is like shooting the arrow at the target. This practice hits exactly the self-cherishing thought, hits exactly the ignorance. Lama Chopa is not just words, you are not just only trying to finish, it’s not like that. It should be done as much as possible slowly, the practice has refuge, mandala, confession, migtsema, guru yoga prayer, lamrim, basically the whole lamrim is lo-jong, utilizing problems in the path, generation and completion stage. Rinpoche reminded us not to do it rushing. Even following words, each session leaves unbelievable imprint of the pure and complete path. If you put effort in this, integrate in this Lama Chopa it is like 100 rivers, and you are going over bridge you can cross very quickly. Rinpoche then explained some of the tunes for Lama Chopa.
