The Co-operative Bank made 3.2 billion shillings in net profit during the first three months of this year, representing a six percent drop that the lender attributes to the capping of interest rates in Kenya as well as currency devaluation and hyperinflation in South Sudan. Total interest income reduced by 10.8 percent to 9.5 billion shillings.
