My quick test of low light capabilities of the Canon Vixia HF G10. My verdict is that this camera could shoot great video with a 40-watt light bulb 6 to 8 feet away from the subject. I often have to shoot in low light situations in operating rooms and cath labs. Looks like this camcorder will be excellent for such a task. Should really work well with birthday cake candles. Think you could also shoot a good vampire flick with this camera. Great job Canon!
