FRESNO, California - A 21-year-old Fresno man was arrested Saturday morning after police say he threatened to kill his girlfriend, who he has also been pimping out.

At around 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a motel in the area of Parkway Drive and Belmont Avenue, Sgt. Pete Boyer says.

An area he says officers routinely investigate person and property crimes related to human trafficking.

Officers met with a 22-year-old woman who says her boyfriend, Alex Valladares, threatened to shoot her and put her in the trunk of his car.
