Sunshine today helps us warm up several degrees, with the 70s across the valley floor, mid-60s in the Kern River Valley and upper 50s in the south mountains. We'll have increasing clouds this afternoon ahead of a strong surge of tropical moisture called a "Pineapple Express" headed our way for the rest of the week with potentially life-threatening flooding and rock and mudslides.
