Just like last year, the current CHAMPIONS of Cyprus - AEL were drawn to play apoel in the last 16 of Cyprus Cup. The first leg was being played in Limassol. AEL dominated the first half, having 70% of possession and creating a number of good opportunities, however failing to realize them into goals. Unfortunately, the second half was the opposite. apoel started with a quick goal and managed to score the second one later. AEL's Rui Miguel saw a straight red with a few minutes to go.
