About 80,000 children in Moldova have at least one parent working abroad, and the country has the 11th highest emigration rate in the world. UNDP is piloting an initiative with 38 rural communities and Moldovan diaspora across the world to boost local entrepreneurship and to create sustainable livelihoods in the country’s emerging tourism sector. With new employment opportunities that contribute to the country’s sustainable development, the Gasca family is reuniting in the village of Chiscareni.
