Ice divers usually turn up their noses at something as boring as taking a plunge in the Red Sea or Lake Garda in Italy. Little wonder then that ice diving specialist Dieter Kuchling is testing the freezing waters of the Blind Lake in Tirol. It's transformed into a virtual ice desert in winter. Snow lies on the thick sheet of ice covering the lake.
