Scratch experts, newcomers and fans of the scratch scene congregated at The School of Electronic Music on Sunday November 18th for the IDA Uk and Ireland 2018 DJ Championships. The event organised by SEM's DJ tutor DJ Rasp, took place in SEM's brand new social space and saw competitors take part in categories ranging from straight forward scratching, to technical scratching and finally, the showcase category which allowed scratchers to team up with each other and add additional equipment to their stage setup. Winners on the day were DJ PNUTS who won the scratch category, El Statiko who won the technical category and Asian Hawk who won the show category. They now go on to compete in Poland at the IDA World DJ Championships on December 8th. More information: http://www.schoolofelectronicmusic.com
