Thirty percent of the world's plants are threatened with extinction by 2050. The Chicago Botanic Garden has dedicated itself to an unparalleled effort to stem that tide. The Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Plant Conservation Science Center will provide state-of-the-art laboratories and teaching facilities for more than 200 Ph.D. scientists, land managers, students, and interns whose research is critical to fulfill the Gardens efforts to save our planet, by saving our plants.
