I went on a scary adventure with my friends, we visited the st. hilarion castle located in kyrenia. it was an experience i'll never forget in my life and i'm also happy because i get to share it with you. guys. The St Hilarion Castle in KKTC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) has inspired the world-famous animated cartoon films producer Walt Disney. In 1920's Walt Disney reportedly visited Cyprus, being impressed by the castle mentioned above; he drew the castle which is in the animation of "Snow White and 7 Dwarfs". St. Hilarion castle is located on the Kyrenia mountain range, in Cyprus. Its location was such as to allow the castle with command of the pass road from Kyrenia to Nicosia. The St Hilarion castle was actually a monastery and not a castle, and it was named after a monk in the 10th century. The monk allegedly chose the site for his hermitage and a church and monastery were built there. Shakespeare found his muse in the north of Cyprus when he laid eyes on the old Venetian fortress at the harbor of Kyrenia. The fort, the main gateway to the city in earlier times, became the decor of one of his plays: Othello! Four centuries later, Northern Cyprus was a muse for another great creative mind: Walt Disney.
