Panaji Additional Sessions Court has rejected the petition of former Inspector General of Goa police Sunil Garg, in which Sunil Garg had contended that Vasco based businessman Munnalal Halwai is making bribery allegation against him just to defame him. Sunil Garg had also pleaded to the court to dismiss Munnalal's application seeking direction to ACB to register FIR against Sunil Garg for taking a bribe of 5.5 lakh rupees. Earlier, this court had directed ACB to register FIR against Sunil Garg, which was later set aside by the High Court.
