Update: Friday June 2, 2011 - Manitoba Water Stewardship is forecasting a second river peak sometime within the next couple of weeks due to the torrential downpours experienced across the area this week. Brandon flood water appears to be the same level as it was on Monday. If there has been an increase it is very small. IMO I have visual reference to exactly how high the floodwater is compared to the sand bags in this video. This tour includes the evacuated area..eastern access road..power plant...and a more clear perspective as to how high the water is to the sandbags along 18th St. N. We are to supposedly have crest occur on the 14th of May. If we have no more ill effects from this record flood.. this will likely be the last of my videos of the Brandon Flood 2011. I expect to be back..but hope that I am not. ;) I hope you appreciate my efforts to keep you aware..from my perspective.
