With such an impressive track record and his contributions towards the advancement of cardiothoracic medicine and the application of its technologies, Dr. Hilal emphasizes on a much-neglected aspect of human medicine that has become overshadowed due the rapid advancement of medical technology – The Human Touch. And that regardless of what new technologies will come through, The Human Touch will never be replaced by modern machinery as these interactions between doctor and patient are the very foundation of medicine.

 His Excellency Dr. Hilal Al Sabti is a goal-driven and result-oriented ambitious individual who has rightfully climbed up the ladder to become the Executive President of Oman Medical Specialty Board in the Sultanate of Oman. 

 Dr. Hilal has led a medical team at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital to successfully plant a valve inside the Aorta and Mitral valves through a catheter. It’s the first time this surgery has ever been performed across the globe. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
