This series did get a lot of notice back in the late 90s and early 00s but with the downfall of geneon and the lack of new episodes of hellsing ultimate, I thought this series got a lot less notice now. Thanks Natalie at my school for loaning me this series. I also shouldn't say that vampire stories don't need love in them because of course Dracula was a story about tragic love and that is one of the greatest vampire stories ever (possibly tied with interview with a vampire). But it seems to be hard to invest in a character like Alucard that has no real human emotions, has no weaknesses, and just seems all around broken. This is a story where it falls on the minor characters more than anything.
