Three years ago Burkina Faso adopted a national strategy to prevent and try to eliminate early and forced marriages. But despite those measures, the practice is far from in decline. According to a report released by Amnesty International in 2016, Burkina Faso has one of the world's highest rates of forced and early marriages.
