1. WhatsApp Business App Launched for Small Businesses, Available for Free.  Meant for small businesses, the new app is available in limited regions. It will be rolled out globally over the course of the coming weeks. The app is free for now, but will be monetised in the future. Available in  Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the UK, and the US.

2. Planning to buy an expensive smartphone? Here's why you should buy it before Budget 2018....The budget is expected to give Make in India a boost through a customs duty rejig, but the move could make imported high-end mobile phones and electronic goods costlier. Basic customs duty may be imposed on components such as printed circuit boards, camera modules and displays that are allowed duty free entry now. On July 1, the government imposed basic customs duty on mobile phones at the rate of 10% and subsequently raised it to 15% on December 14.

3. WhatsApp has pushed a new feature with its latest iOS update. The chat app now allows the iPhone users to play YouTube videos in the Picture-in -Picture mode. This means iOS users can now chat with any contact and watch videos simultaneously right within the messaging app. The feature went live starting Thursday. 

4. India has clocked the second-largest number of mobile app downloads, overtaking the US and trailing only China, according to a report from App Annie — a third-party agency which collates data on apps. This data is inclusive of Apple's iOS Store, Google Play and third-party Android stores.
