Whenever I make this yearly move, some people angrily unsubscribe from this channel; I except that again. But, to be perfectly clear, I am not asking for contributions from anyone who cannot afford to make them or doesn't want to--that would be begging. Rather, in this video, I am addressing only those who may genuinely WISH to participate in this project because...well, just because it will be fun and interesting. For each of the past two years, I have shared private weekly video updates, from April through September, with a small group of about 30 supporters. After that, I've posted the best material publicly in one long video. In other words, none of my viewers have missed anything good! And in fact, last summer I was extremely glad that I used this method of delayed public posting because for several weeks in the summer, I thought I had recorded a Sasquatch eating popcorn whereas it turned out to be raccoons. If I'd shared this incorrect "breakthrough" with the world, I'd have been really embarrassed. Better, I find, to create just one full report at the end of each new research season.
