During the 1920's magnificent pipe organs were used in theatres across the country to accompany films that did not yet have a sound track. The Castro Theatre, in San Francisco, was built in 1922 and is one of the few theatres in the world where you can still hear the "Mighty Wurlitzer" play every night of the week. The organ is played before the feature film. Here is a concert from May 2010 with Harry Garland at the console. The songs are: "Memories of You" by Eubie Blake, "The High and the Mighty" by Dimitri Tiomkin, "Satin Doll" by Duke Ellington, and "San Francisco" by Kaper and Jurmann.
