The US Soccer Foundation and North Carolina Blue Cross Blue Shield celebrated the groundbreaking of a new small-sided court in Durham, NC’s East End Park. US Women’s National Team star Crystal Dunn and Fox Sports broadcaster Fernando Fiore were on hand for the ribbon-cutting and provided their hope that pitches like these can help bring people together, build future stars and belief among youth. The new mini-pitch was created with the USSF’s It’s Everyone’s Game campaign to help bring the game to underserved communities with a goal of attracting 1 million children to play after-school soccer and create 1,000 new fields by 2026.
