Some of this we covered in class, but here you can listen at your own pace and become more familiar with final cut pro X. The technicalities of editing change with different programs, Adobe Premiere, Avid, Sony Vegas, etc. but the basis of storytelling stays the same.
Editing simplified is merely taking raw video content and choosing the best parts to assemble into a story. Don't get overwhelmed with the buttons and key commands...just focus on finding your best clips of video and assembling them in a meaningful way.
And above all, HAVE FUN! CREATE! ENJOY!
